Questions you may have about before considering JH Business Services & Taxation as your tax accountant. Here are some of question our client ask us on initial meeting.

What is your primary field of practice?

Our main primary focus is servicing small to medium sized business in the local area around Norwest Business Park. Also we provide services for individual tax services for more complicated tax affairs.

How long have you been in business?

We started in January 2003.

How do you base your fees?

We have a set price schedule guidelines. We provide quote before we start. You will have peace of mind that you won’t be surprised when you get your invoice.

Do you work alone or have a staff of accountants? Do you recommend that for someone like me?

I am a sole practitioner. I work alone except for an assistant who answers the phone and does much of my support work.

Are you a CPA?

Yes. We are a CPA practice. We have to comply with ethical & service standard requirements set by the CPA Australia. We are subjected to the CPA Australia quality assurance review program periodically and we must maintain annual CPD requirement set by CPA Australia. We are also a registered tax agent for ATO.

How do you recommend I take care of my daily books?

If you love Myob, QuickBooks or Cloud computing software such as Xero. It is no problem.

Also we don’t mind old traditional shoe box method.

Do you provide/refer financial planning service?

No. We don’t provide financial planning service. We prefer not to provide financial planning service on following reasons: -

Conflict of interest – commission payments

Changes in regulation requiring financial planners need new financial planning licence or become authorised representative of licenced financial planner.

Do you refer mortgage and car loan?

No. Same reason as above. Conflict of interest as this involves commission payments as well.
